The Institute is an autonomous body financed by the Government of West Bengal.
INSTITUTE AND ITS EMPLOYEES
The Institute is an autonomous body under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department. The office hours are from 10.00 A.M. to 5 P.M. The Institute closes on every Thursdays and Sundays.
The Institute runs with a very meager strength of staff consisting of one belonging to Group ‘A’, two belonging to Group ‘B’, five belonging to Group ‘C’ and three belonging to Group ‘D’. West Bengal Government pattern of pay scales are introduced for the employees of this Institute with effect from 1.1.1993 and the Government accepted introduction of pay scales which are similar to the pay-pattern of the State Government employees as well as the employees of different aided/sponsored non-government educational institutions..
The Registrar of the Institute will also act as CPIO (Central Public Information Officer) as well as SPIO (State Public Information Officer) and he will deal with requests from persons seeking information about the Institute and render reasonable assistance to the persons seeking such information in terms of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
